Power of Storytelling at 2018 Sundance Film Festival

With the focus on compelling storytelling across industries, the 2018 Sundance Film Festival is a leader supporting filmmakers in this field. For the 2018 Festival, 110 feature-length films were selected, representing 29 countries and 47 first-time filmmakers, including 30 in competition. The Sundance Institute supports independent artists with year-round programs, granting more than $2.5 million and convening 25 global residency Labs focusing on theater, film, New Frontier and episodic content. The 2018 Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 18–28.

New Album from Chart Topper Barbra Streisand


Columbia Records has released Barbra Streisand’s The Music…The Mem’ries…the Magic! Fans can purchase the new album HERE. On November 22, Netflix premiered Barbra: The Music…The Mem’ries…the Magic!  The special was filmed on the last stop of the star’s 13-city 2016 tour, which is currently streaming on Netflix. Barbra Streisand has recorded 52 gold, 31 platinum and 13 multi-platinum albums in her career. She is the only woman to make the All-Time Top 10 Best Selling Artists list. Streisand has had 34 albums make the Top 10 on the U.S. charts, the only female artist with this achievement, tying her with Frank Sinatra. As the female artist with the most number one albums in Billboard’s history, she has also received two Oscars, five Emmys, 10 Golden Globes and eight Grammys plus two special Grammys.

Empire State Building: Music-to-Light Show Choreographed to “This is Me”

For extra sparkle this holiday season, the Empire State Building will present a music-to-light show choreographed to “This is Me.”  The new show, displaying the creative genius of Academy and Tony Award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land,” “Dear Evan Hansen”) from the upcoming feature film “The Greatest Showman” and renowned lighting designer Marc Brickman, will premiere at 8:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, December, 2017, during a private reception. Actress Keala Settle will sing “This is Me live while the Empire State Building glitters. The performance will be live-streamed on the Empire State Building’s Facebook Page and social media platforms. A video of the entire show will be posted on the Empire State Building’s YouTube channel immediately following the event.


Award-Winning James Beard Foundation Chefs: First Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner

The award-winning James Beard Foundation Chefs will offer the first Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner on February 22, 2018, at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort. VIP Premier Patron tickets for the dinner include a private “Meet & Greet” Champagne reception with hors d’oeuvres from local Hilton Head Island and Bluffton chefs. The dinner, featuring six courses from celebrity and James Beard Foundation award-winning and nominated chefs, will each be paired with wines from international winemakers and sommeliers. Tickets are available for the Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner and the Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival including top chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, local seafood, artisans and musicians.
