Reactions from the Artsphoria Magazine Team
Gloria: I’m drawn to watch this movie because of the theme of family relationships. This familiar story is about a son who is interested in his father’s love interest. The good acting and well-developed characters make this tale believable. This one has a twist: the boy’s relationships with the neighbor versus his father. It’s curious that he turns to the neighbor for advice, so I would like to watch the film to understand why.
Andrea: This coming-of-age story powerfully mirrors the conflicts of a boy struggling to become a man. At the heart of this film are intriguing questions about the breach of trust among all of the different relationships–and choices that ultimately shape their lives. The movie trailer shows a slice of the convincing acting and compelling cinematography. The title also raises a desire to watch this film unfold, along with curiosity about the resolution.
