Forever My Girl tells the story of country music super-star Liam Page (Alex Roe) who left his bride, Josie (Jessica Rothe), at the altar choosing fame and fortune instead. However, Liam never got over Josie, his one true love, nor did he ever forget his Southern roots in the small community where he was born and raised. When he unexpectedly returns to his hometown for the funeral of his high school best friend, Liam is suddenly faced with the consequences of all that he left behind.

Reactions from Artsphoria Magazine’s Team

Gloria: This movie looks appealing because the country songs tell a story. This one may not be unique but seems sweet. The theme has been told many times, but this version seems to have its own twist. The Forever My Girl movie trailer highlights the point that you never really uproot yourself from your original home.
The question could be raised, as Andrea has asked before, “where do you call home?” After returning from seeking fame and fortune, this singer realizes that what was more important was what he left behind. They live happily ever after, which I like… I don’t know these actors or how good they are, but this movie focuses on my kind of story: Boy loves girl. Boy leaves girl. Boy comes back to girl!
The Forever My Girl movie trailer is a picker-upper if you start to lose hope that there aren’t real-life love stories like this one. Even though hurt happens along the way, it doesn’t seem to have meanness or nastiness.
Andrea: Yes, the question of each person’s true sense of home has always fascinated me. The Forever My Girl movie trailer and story tap into those issues, so I was interested in watching this one, even though the theme is fairly predictable.
I found this trailer effective because of its ability to convey the story without dialogue. Instead, music is the means of communication, bringing emotions to the surface instantaneously. Besides the ability to tell a story, country music is notorious for expressing raw feelings, which clearly happens in this film.
